Hidden City Secrets
At the Botanical Gardens end of Edward Street hides The Silver Fox Wine Bar, elegant, chic and oh so charming. Think black and gold opulence with chandeliers and a floor to ceiling wine cabinet, all will add glam to any function. Slide into one of the comfortable chesterfields or curl up in an armchair and forget that you’re in the CBD and let your only worry be deciding which drink to order next...
The Botanical Gardens end of town is quiet. There aren’t too many restaurants, coffee shops or bars. But a new wine bar/ charcuterie/hang out place has just opened with a suitably darkish interior, comfortable chairs, food and wine. In other words, it’s ideal for people who want somewhere to drink and talk. You remember talk? Verbal interaction between people..
Every glass of wine is a testament to the human accomplishment that found a way to make fruit juice into alcohol. It’s also a toast to the growers’ triumph over the elements. In Brisbane we like to celebrate these vast accomplishments by ensuring wine is free-flowing on (almost) every corner.
Must Do Brisbane
The ambient interior is laden with ornate features such as chandeliers and deluxe leather couch seating, while low lighting sets the mood for the bar, making it an inviting location to sit and enjoy a drink or two. Diners can seat themselves on relaxed lounges, or alternatively sit at bar tables.
